dsc_0002.JPG

1 tube of refrigerated breadsticks

8 hot dogs

8 popsicle sticks

BBQ sauce, ketchup, mustard or ranch dressing for dipping

Separate dough and roll each piece into a rope.  Insert sticks into hot dogs lengthwise.  Starting at one end, wrap dough in a sprial around the hot dog.  Pinch the ends to seal.

Place one inch apart on a baking sheet that has been coated with cooking spray.  Bake at 375 degrees for 18 minutes or until dough is brown and golden.  Serve with dipping sauce of your choice.

Halloween!

So it is almost that time of year again, and I must admit…I am very excited about Halloween.  Last year, my daughter was too young (11 months) to take trick or treating or to even understand Halloween.  This year, she still doesn’t grasp the concept of Halloween but I think she will enjoy going trick or treating.

As for a costume selection, we decided to go with Supergirl.  For a couple of reasons:

1.  The costume, which I ordered online, looks too cute.
2.  The supergirl costume doesn’t include a hood.

Last year, my daughter was a bumble bee for Halloween.  She wasn’t a fan of the costume or the hood that was attached as part of the costume.  She was cute though and after a few practice runs in her costume, she eventually accepted it for a short time.  So this year we are ditching any costume with a hood.

The supergirl outfit is being shipped and I can’t wait to try it on my daughter.  I am sure once I do, she won’t want to take it off!

What are your kids going to be for halloween?  Submit a comment and let us know!

Blog Slacker!!

I confess…..I have been a horrible slacker when it comes to Mommyzing.  I recently just made the transition from being a stay at hom mom to a full time working mom!  Right now, I am working on trying to find a good balance between working and spending as much of my spare time as possible with my daughter, and blogging.  Oh, and not to mention the other stuff like housework, paying bills, etc.

I will say that the transition has been better than I expected for me and for my daughter.  My daughter is going to a sitter during the day and loves playing with the other children at the sitter.  She is the only girl in a small crowd of three other boys…she is having a blast and seems to be holding her own just fine!  I miss her during the day, but I also know she is having fun at the sitter and getting some great social experience.

I would love to hear from all of you with suggestions or tips on how you balance your time between your kids and the work you do, whether it is a full time job, part time job, or anything else that you have to balance in life!

Keep checking back too, I am no longer going to be a blogging slacker!
