Parents magazine is having a baby bump photo contest and out of over 2000 entries, one of our friends and readers has made the final top 20! I work with Matt, the first time father and husband of georgous mommy Jenna in the picture above. He also happens to love photography and in my opinion is a really great photographer!
Matt and Jenna happen to be one of the nicest genuine couples I have ever met and are truly going to be great parents. They have my vote in the contest and I ask that you all take the two seconds a day to vote for them as well. Even if I didn’t know Matt and Jenna, I would still vote for their picture, because honestly it is the best one of the finalist!

If you prefer to see a demo first…check out the one I did of my family, here.
I am a sucker for all the old school Christmas movies and shows. Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer will be on TV tonight (Tuesday). You can check it out on CBS at 8:00 pm ET or 7:00 pm CST. Enjoy!
So it is almost that time of year again, and I must admit…I am very excited about Halloween. Last year, my daughter was too young (11 months) to take trick or treating or to even understand Halloween. This year, she still doesn’t grasp the concept of Halloween but I think she will enjoy going trick or treating.
As for a costume selection, we decided to go with Supergirl. For a couple of reasons:
1. The costume, which I ordered online, looks too cute.
2. The supergirl costume doesn’t include a hood.
Last year, my daughter was a bumble bee for Halloween. She wasn’t a fan of the costume or the hood that was attached as part of the costume. She was cute though and after a few practice runs in her costume, she eventually accepted it for a short time. So this year we are ditching any costume with a hood.
The supergirl outfit is being shipped and I can’t wait to try it on my daughter. I am sure once I do, she won’t want to take it off!
What are your kids going to be for halloween? Submit a comment and let us know!
The grand prize is a $25,000 scholarship fund, with each of the four runner-ups receiving a $2,500 scholarship fund! Parents help your kid (ages 6 - 12) enter the nationwide contest. Entries will be accepted through November 15th.
Last year’s winner? Alexandra Yoder, 12 years old, of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her recipe - “Peanut Butter Rolls - Sushi Style” The sushi consisted of creamy peanut butter, strawberry cream cheese and fruit rolled in a crepe, cut and served like sushi. She used pretzel rods for chopsticks and chocolate yogurt for soy sauce. Sounds yummy and how creative is that!!
This video clip was submitted to us by Gerritt of Little Rock, Arkansas. Her little daughter can be cranky or upset and when she puts this video on it makes her laugh every time! I showed it to my daughter today and she danced and giggled the whole time!
Check it out and see what your kiddos think about it! Enjoy!
